Prison Ministry of St. John's Cathedral is comprised of Priests and four (4) teams of lay volunteers. On a rotating basis each team shares the Good News of Jesus Christ by celebrating the Mass or a Eucharistic Service on Sunday in the Passaic County Jail. We strive to live the words of Jesus "I was in prison and you visited me".
Jail is a place of profound sadness and brokenness. Yet, in this place we meet inmates of deep faith and together we share the love and peace that can only come in and through the graciousness of God. As we give out time and energy ministering to the inmates, we are privileged and blessed to see the face of Jesus in the inmates.
